One More Night in Amdapor
Following the defeat of Diabolos, the unnatural pall choking the crumbling city of Amdapor was lifted, and tranquility restored to the Twelveswood. Or so it had seemed. When the Hearers entered the ruins, however, they had scarce begun consigning the stones to the forest when their elemental allies fled in a sudden panic. By the spirits' agitated whispers did the Seedseers learn that a daunting and hostile presence yet lingered within Amdapor's moldering walls. Unable to complete their ritual of cleansing, once more have the Padjals called upon your aid. Once more must you delve deep inside the ancient city's husk, and purge its withered heart of an unknown evil...
During the fight, the boss will use several abilities. One of them is called Psycho Squamae, where the boss targets a random player and starts casting a conal AoE in front of them. Another ability is called Neura Squamae, which spawns ghosts of the players at their current positions. These ghosts occasionally cast an ability called Enthrallment, which players should be aware of. To avoid AoEs in the center of the arena, players should look at the walls. The boss also uses an ability called Toxic Squamae, where it targets a random player and creates a toxic cloud that tethers to them. If the cloud reaches the player, it explodes and inflicts damage, along with a stack of Vulnerability Up. It also creates a puddle on the ground that inflicts Pollen to players inside it. If targeted by the toxic cloud, players should run around the arena until it dissipates. Lastly, the spawned ghosts from Neura Squamae cast a frontal cone AoE called Enthrallment, which is directed towards the location where the players were looking when it was cast.
In this encounter, there are several abilities used by the Winged Lion. Ancient Aero targets a random area with a large circular AoE. Once it detonates, a wind orb is left on the battlefield that gradually grows upwards, increasing its damage before exploding and dealing massive damage to all players. To prevent this, a player should step into the orb, causing it to explode prematurely and dealing moderate damage. After Ancient Libra is cast at least once, this task should be assigned to a player with Earth Resistance Down II in order to minimize damage. Ancient Stone targets two players with circular AoEs and functions similarly to Ancient Aero. Again, after Ancient Libra is cast, the responsibility of popping the stone orb should be given to a player with Wind Resistance Down II to minimize damage. Ancient Holy is when the Winged Lion lifts into the air, becomes untargetable, and casts a circular AoE. An Arcane Sphere spawns on the ground and gradually grows upwards before exploding, causing massive damage to all players. It is crucial to kill the sphere immediately. From the second cast onwards, Amdapori Gargoyle adds will spawn, but the priority should remain on the Sphere, with the adds being dealt with afterwards. Lastly, Ancient Libra inflicts minor arena-wide AoE damage and randomly grants Wind Resistance Down II or Earth Resistance Down II to each player.
Kuribu starts the battle with 2 stacks of Seed of Life, which allows her to revive upon death and grants her a stack of Vulnerability Down to mark phase changes. Additionally, she begins the battle with a Stun Resistance effect that lasts throughout the entire battle. Kuribu's abilities have different effects depending on the Stance she is in, indicated by the "Reverse" effect. In the first phase, all effects will be normal. In the second phase, with one stack of Seed of Life and the Reverse effect, all effects will be altered. In the third phase, with no stacks of Seed of Life, Kuribu can freely switch between normal and Reverse effects, so it is important to pay attention to her abilities. These abilities include Glory, a frontal Cone AoE targeting the Tank, Cure IV (light circle) which allows players stepping into the circle to remove spikes and reduce Kuribu's HP recovery, Cure IV (dark circle) which is a proximity AoE centered around Kuribu's location, Regen which applies a Rehabilitation buff to Kuribu in Phases 1 and 3, and a persistent ground AoE in Phases 2 and 3 with the Reverse effect. Additionally, Cure III marks two players with large red ring AoEs in Phase 2, and Decoy in Phase 3 spawns two different adds depending on the presence of the Reverse effect. Finally, the Reverse effect grants Kuribu the ability to switch the effects of Cure IV and Regen to harm players instead of healing her.
